Annual Report 2012-13
The Committee completed a considerable work programme from June 2012 to July 2013, details of which are set out in this report.
The Committee's most significant piece of work in the period has been the response to a complaint to the Human Rights Commission that the existing guidelines on surrogacy discriminate against gay men. This led to a review of some aspects of the surrogacy guidelines. Other significant projects were finalising the guidelines on extending storage of gametes and embryos, and work to develop advice on import and export of gametes and embryos
